Rob - of The Sochi Project fame - now in 3D!

Rob Hornstra and writer Arnold van Bruggen have been documenting the Sochi region since 2007 until their visas got cancelled in 2013.

They are at the bleeding edge of slow, in-depth journalism and self-publishing. Rob is also doing workshops, like here, in Cortona. His DIY storytelling workshop was incredibly useful.

All-round great guys and fantastic photographs.

The same photo in the annual report for CPJ - the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Excellent organisation. http://cpj.org/about/index.php

The caption above is a bit small - it reads:

"Photographer Marcus Bleasdale shoots on the run while covering a riot in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir.

Journalists reporting in the disputed territory are often targeted by security forces and by militants.

In August, CPJ reported that two photojournalists covering protests in Srinagar were beaten by police and detained for several hours.”
